I was lucky enough to receive one of these prior to launch as a tester but as always my opinions are unbiased. Packaging is the usual quality we expect from LH products, simple and informative. Inside we find the pouch which is a good size and a leather effect finish. A side zip contains the usb connector to attach to your main cord. A neat idea! The LH logo lights up when you plug it in and tapping it twice starts the cleaning process. After a couple of minutes, it’s all done! A great idea for those people who like to make sure their toys stay extra safe and fresh. Which I hope is most of us! I was really surprised by how simple this is to use, I’d say a must for any toy box!

We all know that nothing spoils a sex-induced high like being faced with a plethora of toys in need of cleaning, and the knowledge that *somebody* has to get out of bed to do it. Luckily, the Lovehoney Super Fresh UV Cleaning Pouch aims to make this daunting task a little bit easier, and hopefully, more effective. The pouch arrived in the usual packaging I’ve come to expect from Lovehoney – a white and green box, with some basic instructions printed on the sides. Inside is a small safety booklet, the pouch, and a USB charging cable. I was pleasantly surprised by the pouch itself. It’s a sleek and stylish faux-leather tube, with a firm base and a drawstring opening at the top. It looks like a high-end toy storage pouch, rather than the glorified ziplock bag I had imagined! There is a rubber button on the side, which is used to operate the pouch, and a zip to hide the charging cable attachment. The inside of the bag is lined with a silver reflective material, and there are several UV bulbs at the bottom. I had expected there to be more bulbs surrounding the walls of the pouch to clean the length of the toys, however I’m hoping the silver lining has got that covered. There is an unpleasant smell inside, but hopefully that will fade over time. It’s fairly roomy inside, large enough to fit most vibrators and dildos I’d expect, but not big enough for a full-sized body wand. The drawstring opening allows for a bit of leeway with the length, as the extra material can extend beyond the top of the pouch. I have been able to fit my 9 inch Lovehoney Mon-Ami wand inside comfortably, as well as some of my dildos with wide suction cup bases, and of course our cock rings and smaller vibes. Before you use the pouch, I’m sorry to say that a bit of light cleaning is still required! UV sanitation only works on unobstructed surfaces, so you will need to ensure that any *fluids* are wiped off, and the toy is dry and free from debris (I keep some tissues and a pack of toy wipes by my bed for this purpose). It’s best to place it inside the pouch with the ‘working’ end pointing downwards, as that’s where the UV light is concentrated. If you want to be extra safe, you can flip the toy around and repeat the cleaning cycle again, to cover all bases. To activate the UV cleaning cycle, all you need to do is plug the pouch in, and double press the Lovehoney heart button. Each cycle lasts for 3 minutes, during which time the button will flash, reverting to a steady light when completed. It’s really important that you keep the pouch closed during this time, to avoid any injury to your skin and eyes. Once done, your toy should be clean and ready to enjoy again. The jury is out on how effective personal UV sanitisers actually are, and I have no means of testing this at home. They’ve long been used in medical environments to prevent the spread of bacteria, however industrial lamps are much stronger than the ones used in products like this, and there is no concrete data supplied by Lovehoney with their pouch to indicate how effective it may be. As a science nerd, I would have liked to see something like this for my own peace of mind. You should also bear in mind that UV lamps dwindle over time, so the cleaning power afforded by this pouch may also decrease. As it is, adding this product to my cleaning regime has offered me some extra confidence, even if I can’t be sure how well its working. Rather than obsessively scrubbing with soap/toy cleaner and water, I can now give my toys a good wipe and finish them off in the pouch, without even having to leave my bed! This also works well for toys which aren’t fully waterproof, as you don’t have to worry about getting them wet. Not only that, but the pouch is discreet and travel-friendly, so you can sanitise on the go. If you need a bit of reassurance when it comes to toy hygiene, this pouch may be worth a try for you, but it shouldn’t completely replace your cleaning regime.

A big thank you to Lovehoney for sending me this product to test. Fast delivery and discreet packaging as always! I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this product. I’m all for cleanliness and safety but will zapping my toys with UV light actually do anything!!?? Long answer short, and in my personal opinion…yes. I tend to wash all my toys with soap & water then spray them with Lovehoney sex toy cleaner anyway, and will continue to do so, but I now use this in addition on certain toys (the ones that fit inside). Some may say that’s overkill but you litetally can’t be too clean 🙂 This product is also very easy to use! Simply pop in your toy, double tap the button and wait 3mins… the UV does all the work. Double tap again for a second cycle. Ok so I can’t physically see any difference with the toys that I blast with UV but it gives me an extra reassurance that my toys are safe to use. If you want to get into the nitty gritty of it all (and I did so I researched), the uv light is essentially a form of short wave energy which penetrates and kills bacteria. So whilst this may seem like a gimmick to some, it does actually provide a genuine non-novelty use. You can’t argue with science!

Is such a good idea for a quick sterilise before use. I still clean my toys after use, but the 3 min sterilise cycle is a great option for a speedy clean. The bag is a good size and shape, and is only one touch to turn on, so is super easy to use.

I like having clean toys and it’s important to feel confident in their safety. This product provides all the reassurance I need. UV light is proven to kill bacteria. It’s so easy to use. It is a tube with UV lights on the inside. Simply drop your toy inside and close the drawstring. Plug in the cord and press twice to start the three-minute cycle. That’s all it takes! The pouch comes in a box, and I love that the instructions are on the box, so I don’t have to fiddle with little paper leaflets. The cord is plugged to the pouch inside a small zipper pocket. It’s nice that I don’t have to ever unplug the cord. When I’m done, I just keep the cord attached and put it all in the box. The product is nice looking, black and sleek. Just the right size for my fun toys!

I’m HUGE when it comes to sanitary toys and if that’s also you, this is a MUST have. I have peace of mind that I’m actually using a clean toy each time. Even if you use multiple methods of cleaning, it’s great to have this to use for added freshness on the spot.

This is one of the best inventions ever! I never liked the idea of putting sex toys in the dishwasher anyway :/ Even using regular cleaning solution, I felt that at least occasionally, it was good to do a more thorough germ killing option such as the hot water from the dishwasher, but who has forgotten about them only to find that someone else in the household had emptied the diswasher, finding an *Easter egg* Eternal embarrassment. UV cleaning pouch to the rescue! It is kept in my room. It is easy to use. It is science-based cleanliness! SO happy to have this product. Buh bye diswasher!

Everyone hates clean up, but it’s something that you gotta do to avoid those darn infections! This sex toy cleaning pouch is nice, sturdy and has a cord to use. You can’t visually see any difference in the cleanse, but I’ll believe what science says about UV light and killing germs!

My new go to for cleanup time. A couple spritzes of lovehoney toy cleaner, wipe down, then into my uv bag it goes. I love knowing that im getting my toys as clean as can be and the product is so easy and convenient to use. Plug it in, press the button, and your cycle runs for 3 minutes. The instructions were very convenient and straightforward, the design is easy on the eyes, and the size is very nice. All in all, a very worthy investment!!

Truthfully, I’m okay with just soap and boiling when it comes to cleaning, especially since you need to give your toys a basic cleanse before using this item anyway. However, I want to give this product a fair assessment. It’s easy to use, and most importantly, discreet. Enough people wander in and out of my room I need a ‘treasure chest,’ but this is something I can have on my desk. It does what it says, provides ample room for all sorts of toys, and cleans toys quickly so you can jump right in.

It makes cleaning easy and simple but it does has a few quirks. When I first got it, the other reviews talked about a weird smell that it comes with but I dismissed it. I was not prepared for the smell that happens if you leave it closed and away in a cubbord for even a short time. The button can be flimsy and u might have to click it a few times to get it to work. Those are the only issues I have had with it and other then that, it’s really good. Paired with the Lovehoney Fresh Biodegradable Sex Toy Wipes it’s my go to for cleaning the toys.

This UV sex toy cleaning pouch is very reassuring and so straightforward to use. The parcel arrived very quickly and in discreet packaging. The box for the UV cleaning pouch has the easy to follow instructions on the outside. On receiving we immediately set this up and proceeded to clean each of our most used toys. It is so easy to use, simply plug in the USB lead, place your pre-cleaned toy inside ensuring the top is closed securely and then press the button. The light flashes for three minutes while it is doing its magic, then the light goes solid for one minute at the end of the cycle… it’s that easy. This pouch is a very good size, it easily fits my full size rechargeable Doxy wand, I would think it would fit most toys. It is made of a nice quality faux leather and looks good. It is unobtrusive and I would think it would be safe to leave on the bedside cabinet without too many questions being asked. I am very pleased with my purchase and I got it at a great price which is a bonus! I would definitely recommend for anyone who likes to know their toys are thoroughly sanitized in a quick and easy way.
