I’m not ashamed to admit I’m more of a Bridget jones sort of girl when it comes to my choice in underwear for every day casual wear. I like a full brief, high waist and good support to hold my caesarean tum in. Having a c-section scar also has changed how I now shop for underwear which I plan to be in for the majority of the day. Comfort is my top priority and when you hear the word comfortable knickers you don’t associate it with being sexy. I can confirm these knickers are 100% comfortable and with an added bonus of being very cute on the eye. I’m a size 12 in my bottom half with chunky thighs and wide hips and the size M fit me perfectly. The knickers came up just past my belly button with the band around the waist line sitting comfortably around my stomach. They are also a added bonus of being a high leg brief which sat resting on my hips comfortably, ideal if you like your love handles tucked in aswell as your stomach. The design is simple but elegant being all black with mesh windows. At the back of the thong you have a nice hole design finishing this high wasted thong with a sexy but simple look. I have worn these knickers now twice and also washed them twice on a 30 degree wash and they are still as good as when they first arrived. Overall im very pleased with the quality and look of this high waisted thong.

I am a size UK 12-14 but pear shaped and bigger below than on top so I always have the quandary of whether to go for the medium 10-12 or the large 14-16 in LH lingerie. Here, I definitely picked wrong. Stupid really as I should have known they’d sit just below my waist, which is small, and not need to encompass my rotund bottom or thighs. Such a pity. The make quality is excellent. The mesh is super soft and not at all uncomfortable. The elastic bands have a lovely feel and the waist band is cut relatively wide for a smooth silhouette. The stitching is all absolutely immaculate. With no stretch across the garment, the mesh panels appear opaque when worn, so I’m actually revealing very little. Sizing, however, is off. Yes, I’m the smaller end of the size range described, but these are huge! I’m pretty sure they’d fit a size 18 very comfortably. This poses a problem as worn without any stretch to the elastic, the mesh is crinkled and wrinkly, which is not flattering. This is such a shame as the style otherwise with the high, leg lengthening cut is exactly what I go for and very flattering on me. I feel a bit mean knocking a star off because if this thong had fit me correctly, I think I’d love it. Unfortunately, wearing the large, on me, there is a distinct resemblance to Nora Batty’s wrinkled stockings (for anyone old enough to remember them!) so they’ll not be a regular in my underwear selection.

I really love these thongs – they are so sexy and flattering but comfortable too. I only wish that I had sized down! Usually with Lovehoney underwear, I have to size up for a good fit on my 12-14 figure. But on this occasion, instead of Large – I think a Medium would have been a perfect fit for me. The material is light, thin and breathable. Great for everyday activities. The shape – high waist and high leg is very sexy and hides all away the mum tum nicely, this makes me feel good when I wear them. It is a really comfortable thong to wear all day. The quality of the item appears to be good so far and I’ve enjoyed flaunting them in front of the hubby. For now I think they will be a regular go-to for me. However, I would really like to purchase them in a size 12-14 next.
