My partner has been working really hard and while I do know the basics of massage, it is really just the basics (rubbing skin on skin). This small book has all the essential information to get you started and it can easily hide in your handbag or your pocket, so you can keep your massage plans secret. The cover and paper is also of good quality, so I don’t think I’ll see the effects of wear and tear anytime soon. One could argue that you could find all the information of the book with a google search or two, and while it is probably true, I think the gesture of purchasing something physical on its own can mean a lot if your partner finds out what you have been up to. I am horrible at sneaking around, so the same day my parcel arrived, we were looking at the illustrations together. The drawings are simple and descriptive just like the accompanying texts (with some humour here and there). The only thing I am still questioning is the “To: X From: Y” page. If I want to surprise them with a massage, I wouldn’t give them a book, though if I did, it is a subtle way of letting your partner know that they need to up their game. Overall, I would recommend it if you need something to reassure you about the preparations and give you some pointers, however, do not expect in-detail techniques or lengthy descriptions.

Honesty first, this was provided by LH as a review copy however this is an unbiased review. Firstly, I have had a fair few massages in my life, I get a sprts massage every month in fact. This book though, well it is not for deep tissue fans! I have dabbled with partners in the past giving them ‘sexy’ massages so I thought this would be a good read. The book looks really nice and feels very high quality, the illustations are hand drawn and really well done. Instructions are short and to the point, you can read it in less time than it takes to drink a cuppa which is handy. Not sure you could read it on your commute though… I liked the layout and it’s approach, so where is the ‘but’? Well…. I feel like this was written with massaging women in mind. There are many unisex parts but nothing really for the boys. Breasts are featured but no balls. Maybe a revision could solve this one day? We men like getting rubbed up the right way too! All in all it is a really nice book, makes a great gift and isn’t too expensive. So if you fancy adding a ‘touch’ of sensuality to your foreplay, you could do much worse than grab a copy.

The book comes in a similar style to the other lovehoney guides. If you have one of those you probably have a good idea of what this one is like. It’s illustrated with simple line drawings and friendly non abrasive text. Walks you through some techniques, items you can use and areas to massage. Overall I think it’s a nice book to spark ideas or choices for the evening, but not overly detailed that it’s down to you.

I (f) bought this book for my girlfriends birthday along with some massage oils to treat her. The first thing I loved about the book was the format: simple, sexy images and very easy to understand. In addition, it’s perfectly compact (won’t fit in your pocket but it will hide nicely in your drawer). Overall it was a great gift and we had lots of fun trying out some of the suggestions. The only reason I drop a star is because there’s a lot of info about massaging in general and specific areas but I would’ve liked a bit more advice about how best to massage certain areas. However it’s easy enough to use a bit of imagination and with the massage oils and some candles it provided a sensual and romantic experience.

Great read that gave me and my partner amazing advice on how to give each other the most amazing erotic and sensual massages ever. The book doesn’t go into loads of detail but enough for you to be able to go and perform the steps necessary for a good time. Loads of added extras like setting and mood are explored too. A great buy for anyone looking to get their masseuse hands in gear

Nice pocket-sized reference for the basics of intimate massage. It included helpful information, though I thought detailed step-by-step pictures and information would be more helpful to the reader. Still a good buy.
