We were kindly chosen to review this Red long slip. It consists of Red shoestring shoulder straps,at the front, going to Black elasticated, adjustable crossed over at the back, with a nice decorated black lace scalloped v-shaped edging to the back & to the front cleavage. The main body of the slip has a central Y-shaped red Satin panel running from the breasts to the bottom, with the front sides & rear being of fine mesh panels, with a decorated lace edged vent at the bottom rear.Then to finish off the slip, there is a dainty little tassle adorning a small red joining strap positioned under the central cleavage. The wife is a 36B size 12 & this was a Medium size slip. With a bit of shoulder strap adjustment, it fit her well & she said it was comfortable & smooth to wear & looked really sexy on her ! It was of a good design & well made. All in all, she really liked it

I absolutely love this Empress Red Long Slip – it looks amazing – the colour of the satin is a really rich red which contrasts beautifully with the black lace / mesh. The slip has a split at the back which has lace edging, and it also has lace edging around the bust area. It is a lovely design and the whole product feels very expensive. I am a size 8 and the Small fitted me perfectly. The material has some stretch to it, and the back straps are completely adjustable to give a perfect fit. Overall – the slip is really sexy, well made and very luxurious. Not only have I worn this slip in the bedroom, I have also worn it on a sexy date night (at home!) with my Husband which went down very well indeed!

I normally like a basic one colour silk slip, but this one stood out because I liked the look of the stretchy mesh. It’s not too stretchy, but it’s got enough give that I can move around unrestricted. This slip is comfortable and fits to my silhouette. I like the length of this slip too. Most of my favourite slips are ankle-length but this one is calf-length. The slip looks pretty on; the rich red is sensual and the black detail is my favourite part. The lace accents on the cups and on the back is very pretty. There are gold hoops on the straps, and I think this colour choice looks lovely. The fit and finish is good quality, the material feels comfortable and secure. I am pleased with the slip and know it well get lots of wear. I especially enjoy wearing it in the evenings through the summer as it keeps me cool and looks stylish.

This piece is a little different to the style of lingerie I normally purchase. I’m usually in rather kinkier ensembles with a lot more on display and putting this on made me feel significantly more sophisticated than I normally do. I only have one other slip and the fit with it was disastrous as it had no give over the hips and thighs which is where I’m at my biggest and just looked awful. Thankfully this piece is a lot more forgiving. Make quality to start, and as I’ve come to expect with Lovehoney own brand lingerie, the stitching is of a high standard. There are no loose threads or dodgy hems, it is all secure and tidy, the slip is well constructed and is not going to fall apart any time soon. The packaging is basic so if you’re planning on purchasing this as a gift, you might want to buy a pretty box to present it in. The red satin like section of material is beautiful, it has 2 way stretch positioned to accomodate larger boobs without wrinkling at the chest and vertically at the front to keep the panel neat width wise making for a smooth, sleek, flattering fit. It is also shaped to flatter being wide at the top, narrow below the chest and through the waist and widening towards the bottom to emphasise an hour glass shape. The lace section around the décolletage is soft and comfortable and the little cut out section and tassel is an incredibly cute detail. The simple drop back with cross straps is also lovely. The mesh section is comfortable to wear and incredibly stretchy is all directions. If you buy your regular size there is no way you’re going to find this tight or hard to get into. This brings me to sizing and here I do struggle a little. I am a pear shape, no question. Generally a UK size 12-14 but much smaller on top than below, thighs are pushing 16 while my waist is small and cup size I’m only an A. I am a little over 5’8″. I was recommended to go for the medium 10-12 over the large 14-16 and I’m so glad I did. This has so much stretch, it very easily accomodates my bottom and thighs comfortably with no riding up or looking taught, unfortunately it looks loose on my top half. My boobs don’t fill the cups and there is clearly baggy excess satin material over my chest. If you are between sizes, definitely size down. Being a pear, short or ankle length A-line skirts flatter me more than this knee length fitted one and I didn’t think about this as I should have. The end result, despite having a lot of features that I really like, is not hugely flattering on me. There is a lot to love about this slip and if you’re an hour glass with a C to DD cup size, and very likely bigger too, though there is not a huge amount of support, this will look incredible on you. Unfortunately, for me, it doesn’t quite work.

I was sent this lovely slip in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, Lovehoney. I was really excited to receive this slip as I’d already tried the bra and French knickers set (gorgeous and a fab fit). The slip is a stunning red satin, black lace and mesh fabric with adjustable cross-over straps. There’s a slit in the back that’s trimmed with lace. The cups are satin and lace with a cute but sexy little tassel in the centre. The star of the show is the panel of red satin down the centre. This is a godsend for anyone who may have an issue trying to hide lumps and bumps. For reference, I’m an 18/20 and 38DD in most High Street stores and received this in a size1/2X. I admit I was a bit rushed to try this on and made myself slow down as I got a little tangled up with the cross-over straps. Deep breath, start again. I took my time this time and it slipped on with ease. However, I had a big problem with the cups. Or my breasts. Probably the latter! I got the bra from the set out and both this and the bra looked a very similar size so there was no problem there. I came to the disappointing realisation that as gorgeous as this slip is, it just didn’t sit right on my breasts. Looking on the bright side, my partner still loved both this slip and the French knicker set on me (I got really lucky with him). Don’t let my experience put you off trying this sexy slip, though. I’m an hourglass shape but have wide-set breasts so this might be perfect for anyone else.

A new piece under LH’s own label – a red satin long slip with black accents. Matching this long slip, LH also sell a french bra and knicker set. The slip’s size 1x/2x is true to size 18/20. Predominantly a black see-through material, there is full front red panels to add that extra bit of sexiness. Designed not to let the full breast fall out there is a little additional structure between the bra area to hold the garment in place. The spaghetti straps up and over your shoulders (from top of breast part to rear below shoulder blades) are adjustable and range from 45 cm to 63 cm. Great for tallies with longer backs. Overall, the length of the slip from bottom hem to top of breast panel/start of strap is 112 cm, so on someone approx 6’2” tall, this will sit just at knee level. Mostly there is black stitching on black and red stitching on red. Just down the sides of the bra area there is a little black stitching through the red satin. Only a small dislike. The bra stitching isn’t rigid so you don’t have scratchy edges. It is possible to get a little tangled in the spaghetti straps as they do cross-over on the back but a little bit of head and arm adjustment through the straps got me straightened out. LH pieces usually contain a little signature love heart. This set instead has a tassel on the little strap joining the breast lace. Not sure it is my preferred accessory but it’s small enough (2 cm) to not be an issue. Usual hand wash does the trick (not recommended to machine wash) Not suitable for tumble drying or ironing so leaving to dry on a towel on the radiator overnight, seems to be the best way to go. There is no colour run from the garments either so no worries if you pop a lighter something else in to your hand-wash at the same time.

I absolutely love this piece from Lovehoney. What I love most is the length, as not every lady wants to where a short garment. I have big breasts but it sat very well on me. I like the feel of the material and it is very comfortable to wear. My next purchase will be the bra and knicker set! My only criticism if I am being really picky is I would have preferred it to be machine washable.

It is a very nice slip, it feels nice on the skin, the mesh is not scratchy, etc. The size fits bigger women well, too. But I still have to send it back because this slip just doesn’t work with a big bust. I have H- or I-cups, depending on the brand, and naturally boobs that size tend to sit lower than perky A-C-cups, due to their weight… If the slip sits nicely on the body, the red “cup” part (there are no actual cups) sits above the boobs, while the boobs hang out in the black see through mesh part. If you pull the slip down as to cover the bust, it sits terribly on the body and neither feels or looks good. I would recommend this slip dress to plus size women with A-C cups, I am sure you will love it! Everyone with a bigger bust than that should look for an alternative – I chose the Lovehoney Plus Size Flaunt Me Black Lace Robe and it looks lovely, because there is no “designated boobage area” 😀

I’ve had this slip for some time and really enjoy wearing it. Over the summer weather its perfect for me. The materials are super comfortable, and it’s also super sexy. The back being sheer allows for those intimate moments, but I also enjoy wearing it as nightwear and it feels great. The straps can be a fiddle but once you get them they don’t fall.
