This was such an interesting, exciting and empowering read! Loved that it was a big book and full of illustrations and experiences. It does a wonderful job of presenting stories from people with so many different sexualities and disabilities. So wonderful to read sexy and thoughtful and powerful experiences directly from the people in them.

Filled with stories from 50 disabled voices – amazing to finally hear disabled people speak so openly about their sexuality. Well done Lovehoney for carrying the book and Handi for creating it.

I LOVE this book! It’s so wonderful to be represented, especially in the kinky community – a lot of disabled people are infantilised by society but we are sexual beings, just like ableds. I love that it’s co-authored by 50 different disabled people – that way, we can truly be represented as a community. The book is quite large (about A4 sized) and has large print which is very inclusive, which is great. This is fantastic. Thank you

I have a progressive neurological impairment myself, so this book appealed to me, I just wasn’t sure what to expect from it. I have really enjoyed reading this, as has my girlfriend, and we both learnt a lot from it too and personally found it inspirational. So, to start with I liked the sized of the book, the design, the layout, it has been put together well. The book is made up of chapters, such as ‘Coming out as Disabled’, ‘pleasure & pain’, ‘Grief & Loss’, ‘Masturbation’ etc.,. Under each of these are a set of questions that were asked to the contributors, and a Handi ‘what did we find’ summary overview. The rest of each chapter is then a selection of stories in relation to the questions, and I love these. They are honest, fresh, from the heart and the soul. They made me feel proud to be disabled (as much as I avoid using that word – I have an impairment). There are stories I could relate to, there were stories that made me realize how narrow my mind was in certain ways, and just about every one gave me strength. So a quick message to any contributors that may read this – Thank You! You do not have to be disabled to get something from this book, you just need an interest in people. It tells you how it is, as people have experienced things. For me it has opened my mind more. Not to take anything away from what is in the book, but can it be improved? I think so. I would love to have seen something like a suggestions/guide around some of the challenges in a chapter. For example highlighting how wedges can be supportive, ropes can be for restraining but I use them also to help balance. Guidance in some way really for different types of impairments for equipment and such like. Maybe it’s a different type of book, but for me it would have completed this and offer some idea others may not have thought of.

This book gives a great overview of many perspectives of what sexuality means for a variety of people with a disability. The voice of those that contributes really shines through and I found that it was a page turner!

This book is gorgeous, digestible and great to pick up and flip through as it calls to me. I appreciate the larger size and comfy to read font and page layouts. A key note; if your disability makes holding or grasping a heavier book challenging keep in mind this book is a bit hefty; like magazine size but heavier duty paper and about an inch thick!

I can’t say enough good things about this book. Regardless of whether you’re able-bodied or disabled or somewhere in between, everyone should experience this work. The art, the vulnerability, the sexiness are exquisite. It doesn’t shy away from darker elements, kink, or struggle. It shows up with fullness, containing complex multiplicity. There is a chapter for every mood, and some that will command your current state to evolve or deepen.
