   My husband is often jealous of my toy collection so a set with toys for both of us was an amazing offering. Our first impression of this set was WOW, it looks like something you’d find in a high end department store, the box is amazing quality and features pictures of both toys, the lid is secured with some small labels and once pealed off it lifts off easily. On the inside of the lid are some basic pictorial instructions on how to use each toy. The toys themselves are held in moulded foam along with a cardboard box which holds the chargers and accessories. The womanizer comes with a drawstring bag, 2 different size heads and a magnetic charging cable, whilst the Ion Arcwave Stroker is held inside a charging dock into which a USB cable connects for charging. You also get a small pot of water based lubricant and a card envelope containing the instructions. Both toys charged easily and had lights to indicate when they were done, the only thing we didn’t like was the magnetic charger for the womanizer, you have to be careful as it pops off quite easily, but it’s only a small niggle. Womanizer: I have a few suction toys both cheap and premium so I was excited to try the Womanizer Premium 2. First impressions were good, it wasn’t too heavy and was comfortable to hold. Once switched on 3 lights showed the level of charge but it didn’t seem to work, whilst applying some lube to ensure a good seal, I realised that it only starts working when contact is made which is great as it doesn’t matter if you accidentally leave it on. There’s 14 intensity levels which are cycled through with plus and minus buttons. If you’re not used to suction toys then you’ll probably find the lower settings will have you orgasming quickly as it’s an amazing and unique sensation. Even after a couple of weeks of playing I don’t get much past level 8, trying higher levels on my skin it gets pretty powerful and also quite noisy. There is also an auto mode that varies the intensity so you have no control which can be quite fun. Overall, compared to other suction toys this one really stands out as something special and it’s been very well used since I received it. Ion Arcwave Stroker (from my husband): First impressions were good, charging was easy and the fact that’s it’s in a plain looking case meant it charged on the side without attracting any attention. Once charged, you remove the plastic insert from the stroker sleeve and lift it out the case, it’s not too heavy and was comfortable to hold. The controls are fairly straightforward, pressing the plus button turns it on but it doesn’t actually do anything until you’ve inserted your penis, then control is simply plus or minus to change the intensity level. The instructions make it clear that you should add lube to the toy and yourself and the sleeve material is stretchy making insertion easy. The suction part stimulates the glands near the tip of your penis, on lower power levels I must admit I couldn’t really feel anything, but on higher intensity levels the sensation was good. It’s a little noisy, especially if you withdraw slightly too much and the seal with the suction hole is broken, but it’s not too much of an issue. I enjoyed the sensations but I struggled to orgasm and have only used it a couple of times since the first try. It’s a great idea having his and her toys in a set, however the star here for us was certainly the Womanizer Premium 2.

   This is a great kit for him and her. The set comes together in a nice box with each toy in it’s own insert. We rarely keep toys in their box because it takes up so much extra room, but if we were to start this would be a nice box to keep. There isn’t a need to keep the box though. The arcwave toy comes in a case that doubles as a charger, it isn’t obvious that the case is for a sex toy so can be happily left out to charge and keeps the toy nice and safe too. The womanizer comes with a nice little bag to keep it a bit more sanitary between uses than just being left in a drawer. I do with it came with a similar case though to really emphasize the premium nature of the product. The charging wires aren’t a problem but having it sit in a dock or something would add that bit extra. Both toys charge quickly and hold a charge for plenty of time. They are both waterproof enough for cleaning, the arcwave has a detachable ‘business end’ where the mess would happen to aid in this. The toys are really similar using pulsing suction to stimulate either the clitoris or the head of the penis. The sensation described by my partner on her clit is very similar to that I experienced on my penis, a deep thrumming vibration that had me ready to go in no time. The setting on the arcwave to turn it off when not in contact is useful to help edge but a few times I was so sensitive after using it that I was tipped over the edge by the slightest breeze or contact anyway. The vibration is deeper than any other toy I have used, much more than a bullet or a mains powered wand. The womanizer seemed easier to use with the buttons, but that might have been because when I was using it I wasn’t otherwise distracted. There are a few minor negatives, the shape of the womanizer makes it hard to use and perform other sex acts, we like to combine toys with manual pleasure. The arcwave is loud, the loudest toy we own and louder than any wand or anything. The arcwave is also quite tight even for me being average ISH sized, so will be a squeeze for those who are more well endowed. Overall though, as you can see by the rating, we find these minor inconveniences and they pale when compared to the unique sensations and orgasms these toys produce.

Although the plastic motor housing of the Ion can be submerged in water, I used a damp cloth before I lightly dried it. To aid the drying process, the canal of the sleeve is stored inside a cylinder. The Ion helpfully comes with an innovative and re-usable DryTech Stick (a silica stick) that, once placed inside the charging/storage unit, helpfully removes any remaining moisture from the Ion during its charging/storage. Whilst the ArcWave is charging (an 85 minutes charge will provide 60 minutes’ use on the maximum intensity level), the case is so discrete and innocent-looking that no-one would suspect what it actually contains. Our conclusion is that this is not a discrete toy. For us, the noise it emitted during use was not an issue. However, the Ion is definitely not a toy we would use away from home because of the loud noise it makes. Although the ArcWave Ion’s case is discrete-looking, the loud noise that the Ion makes is anything but, and this is not a discrete toy in this respect – therefore, we would not recommend it if sound is a major consideration for the user. Additionally, the Arcwave Ion will not suit those with a penis shorter than 3” (8.5cm) when fully erect. Anything less than this length will result in your being unable to enjoy the pleasure of the pulsations of the air as this is the distance at which the Pressure Air sensor is located inside the sleeve. If you were unfortunate enough not to be able to access the Pressure Air pulsations, using the Ion merely as a stroker would render this toy an expensive option.    So we’ve tried a few different types of clitoral vibes and male masturbators now and this definitely has to be the bees knees of a kit for couples. The kit contains both a clitoral stimulator – the Womanizer Premium 2- and a male stroker/masturbator – the Arcwave ION Pleasure Air Stroker. For a start these are the top brands of kit of their type, so a fantastic pairing for couples who want to please each other or themselves!). But for us the big sell was the new tech involved in the male ‘Air Stroker’. We already love the clitoral suction vibes (if any clit owners out there haven’t tried them they are a must!) that are out there, and are our go to to get a female climax in seconds. However for penis owners there’s really nothing that quite matches up to the innovation in the clit suckers… until now! As the penis owner wow, I can genuinely say this is the first time I’ve ever experienced an orgasm of the build up and intensity that a clitoral orgasm can give you, wow, wow, wow! The build up and throbbingly awesome feeling created by the gentle suction around the frenulum (base of the head of the penis) is an entirely new experience. It felt like my penis was going to explode – the suction gave an entirely different climax to the proceedings. This is a new type of mastubator for penis owners, and a smart one at that. The suction component is accompanied with a soft silicone sleeve, so you can enjoy both the suction and some stroking of your shaft manually too. Cleverly the sleeve component is removable and easily washable, neatly slotting together with a twist. There are 8 levels of intensity to choose from, we found the stronger settings were better. There’s a clever ‘smart silence’ setting which means the suction only starts once you’re in position in the Ion. Speaking of silence this does make some noise, as you’d expect, a kind of ‘putting’ sort of low noise (very similar to the clit suckers). This is noticeable, but not so loud as to be a problem, we’ve had far noisier classic vibrators in the past. The presentation of the Arcwave Ion is top end. It comes in a storage case which doubles as a charging dock (and even includes a drying insert to aid drying it out after rinses ). This would look perfectly at home on a bedside table, and doesn’t look in any way like something you need to hide away. Obviously a healthy dose of lubricant to your shaft is needed to ease entry and aid the stroking. We find starting with suction and finishing at the very height of excitement with some stroking gives the most powerful climax; oh and watch out, the stroker is open ended! As for the Womanizer Premium 2, this is a great improvement on the basic models we’ve had before. Oh the suction! With 14 different levels to choose from it really packs a punch, so whether you’re just starting out and need a gentle touch to that full on ‘I need you to go for it’ moment it delivers what you need. It has two interchangeable sized heads to meet any clitoris size or shape and has simple easy to use buttons to adjust suction. It’s made of soft touch but grippy silicone and is easily held during intercourse too (we find this a great toy to use during intercourse too!). As with any clitoral toy placement is key, and we find it takes a slight parting of the labia to find the spot. We found getting the clit owner to initially find the exact spot “oh yes!” helps, but once you get your eye in this is a good as (actually much better!) than a tongue at exciting and pleasuring a clitoris. As with the Arcwave Ion the Womanizer also has a ‘smart silence’ setting so can be set to only work upon touching you. As you’d expect this suction stimulator does make some noise, but no more than other models we’ve tried, which given the extra strong suction is great. A really neat addition on this model is the ‘Autopilot’ setting, giving you a spontaneous pattern of suctions and intensities, so if using alone a good way to feel that excitement of the unknown! So they are good bits of kit, but why get the pair? This really is a premium set, from the presentation in the box (which shows its high end credentials), to a handy travel bag for the womanizer included, to rechargeable water resistant connections (we really like the magnetic connections!), to the long battery life between charges, to a handy free bottle of lube, to a genuinely top notch experience for both penis and clitoris owners.
